Great deals on Zavvi

Searching for DVD's online lead me to Zavvi, said to be UK’s largest independent entertainment retailer on the high street. They have a good collection of movie DVDs, games, music, Books and more.

They say that prices of DVD's start from £3.99. However, when I last checked, the cheapest titles were Independence Day, Batman Begins, Serenity and Aeon Flux for £4.99 each.

The great thing is that they deliver everything for free.

New Ikea store in Coventry

The giant Swedish furniture company - Ikea is set to open soon in Coventry, UK. This store will be the first to be built in a City centre shopping area and is scheduled to open later this year.

The £35 million store is located at Queen Victoria Road in Coventry city centre. Right now works have started to prepare the roads for the expected influx of shoppers. The only way in and out of the store will be through junction 7 on the ring road.

The 6 storey building will have 3 stories dedicated to parking with over 1750 parking spaces.

Currys sale

This is the last week for Currys Sale. It ends on Wednesday.

Currys is is UK's largest electrical retailer. It part of DSG international plc, one of Europe's leading specialist electrical retailing group.

They have 514 stores all over the country (including Currys.digital). There are four Currys stores in the Republic of Ireland (as at 23 May 2007). Source: DSGi plc website.

Debenhams sale

Debenhams are having their summer half price sale starting from 21st June.

FYI, Debenhams is one of UK's leading department stores group. The brand name was first used in 1813 when Thomas Clark and William Debenham opened up the Clark and Debenham partnership on Wigmore Street in central London.

Debenhams now has 141 stores (the about us page says 126), across the UK and Ireland. They also have 35 international franchise stores in 16 countries outside the UK and Ireland, with a further 12 franchises scheduled to open by the end of the 2008 financial year. Source: www.debenhamsplc.com
